Trays for All

Chic trays are all over the blogosphere and I am in love with the look it creates in a room. I've seen numerous ways of styling trays for the bedroom, bathroom, closet and living room and I totally want to jump on the bandwagon. One of the reasons I am into this look is the fact that it showcase the items inside very well. Below are some of my favorite trays online.

Fall Fun

Table runner - Target

It's beginning to feel like Fall (finally!) in Sacramento and the crisp morning air put me in the mood to add some Fall decorations throughout our home. I usually keep flowers on our kitchen table, but I wanted to give our dining area a new look that I can keep up through November. Safeway currently has lots of pumpkins and Fall decorations, so I picked up a few pieces to create a centerpiece. The entryway table was also looking a little bare, so I added its own Fall centerpiece and a couple of pumpkins and a lantern to complete the look.

I am totally into the pumpkin decorating craze this year, but have yet to go all out with our house. My husband and I did do a trial run with glitter and chevron. Unfortunately we still have not found the best method for chevron pumpkins as the craft paint is not holding down on the pumpkin very well. Luckily we didn't ruin all of our mini pumpkins - one did turn out cute! We put masking tape on every other section on the pumpkin and then applied Martha Stewart glitter glue on the pumpkin and then covered the area with orange Martha Stewart glitter. Both of these Martha Stewart products are available at Michael's.

Here a few of the pumpkin trends I will hopefully be trying out this weekend!
